Heron
Ernest Race continued to investigate new manufacturing processes with the Flamingo and Heron chairs. The Heron differs from the Flamingo in the position of the legs and the addition of a loose head cushion and loose seat cushion. Both chairs fuse exceptional comfort with a dynamic sculptural form and are contemporary with similar designs by Eames and Saarinen. The design incorporates technically challenging upholstery techniques, still in use today. The iconic look is finished with the addition of the Ottoman footstool.

Contemporary, timeless aesthetic characterised by the notion less is more. This best describes the work of Samuel Wright. Striving to create useful, practical and beautiful furniture by favouring clean lines and a lightness of form, allied to a strong belief in quality.
