- Credit Control & Debt Collection: Proactively monitor customer accounts to identify overdue payments, and initiate contact with clients to ensure timely collection of outstanding balance
- Account Reconciliation:
Regularly reconcile customer accounts, ensuring that all payments are accurately recorded, and identify any discrepancies or issues that may need resolving - Credit Assessment:
Conduct credit checks for new and existing customers to assess creditworthiness and set appropriate credit limits in line with company policy - Payment Allocation:
Accurately allocate incoming payments to respective accounts and update financial records accordingly - Reporting:
Prepare weekly and monthly aging reports and provide status updates on outstanding receivables to the finance team - Relationship Management:
Liaise with customers and internal sales teams to address any billing issues or queries that could delay payments, aiming to maintain positive customer relationships - Compliance & Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer communications, payment arrangements, and credit applications, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies - Management of the Invoice Finance/CID facility
- Other ad hoc duties as required to assist and support finance team
| - Previous experience as a Credit Controller, preferably within a manufacturing or similar industry
- Strong understanding of credit control processes, debt collection, and account reconciliation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently with good time management and organization skills.
- Knowledge of industry-specific financial regulations and practices is a plus
